Seller Guide

County Line Auction offers several methods of sale to help sellers reach the right buyers and maximize competition for their assets.

Methods of Sale

Live Auction with Simulcast Bidding

A traditional live auction conducted in person while also offering online bidding through a simulcast platform.

In-person and online bidders compete against each other in real time, giving sellers access to a larger pool of potential buyers.

Online-Only Auction

An auction conducted entirely online. There is no in-person bidding taking place at the same time.

Bidders participate through the online bidding platform during the scheduled auction period.

Live Auction

A traditional in-person auction with no online or simulcast bidding.

All bidding takes place at the physical auction, and bidders compete directly with others attending in person.

How Do I Sell My Used Equipment?

Any of our three auction methods can be an effective way to sell used equipment. The best method depends on the type of equipment, the location, the target buyers, and the seller's goals.

For maximum exposure and competition, a Live Auction with Simulcast Bidding offers the advantages of both in-person and online bidding. By allowing buyers to participate from virtually anywhere, simulcast auctions can increase exposure and create additional competition for your equipment.

The best way to determine which method is right for your assets is to contact our office and speak with one of our sales representatives. We will be happy to discuss your equipment and recommend an appropriate sales strategy.

When Will I Receive My Money After the Sale?

Live Auctions & Live Auctions with Simulcast

Seller settlement and payment of net proceeds typically occurs within 15-30 banking days after the auction in which your assets were sold.

If a winning bidder fails to make payment through the online bidding platform, County Line Auction will make reasonable efforts to collect the outstanding funds before the scheduled settlement date.

If payment cannot be collected by settlement, the asset may be offered at the next available auction. Once the asset is successfully sold and payment is collected, the seller's proceeds will be sent according to the applicable settlement process.

Online-Only Auctions

Seller settlement and payment of net proceeds typically occurs within 15-30 banking days after the auction in which your assets were sold.

Settlement timeframes are estimates and may vary depending on bidder payment, collection, title or documentation requirements, and other circumstances related to the auction.
